About
Ladyslipper is a non-profit organization based in Durham, North Carolina, founded in 1976 by Laurie Fuchs. Initially established as a lesbian-feminist women's music catalog, it aimed to make women's music more accessible to those unable to attend festivals. Over time, Ladyslipper expanded into an independent record label, distributing works by artists such as Kay Gardner, Lisa Thiel, Ruth Barrett, and Ubaka Hill.
