Formed in 2018 in the Chicago suburb of Sleepy Hollow, Wilmette is a quintet known for blending high-energy pop-punk with aggressive post-hardcore elements. The band quickly gained traction in the Midwest scene with their 2019 EP 'Anxious Body' and a self-titled EP in 2020, both released via Mutant League Records. Their sound is characterized by hook-driven melodies, technical musicianship, and visceral, honest lyrics. In August 2023, they released their debut full-length album, 'Hyperfocused', produced by Seth Henderson (known for his work with Knuckle Puck and State Champs). The band is a frequent performer in the Milwaukee area, often appearing at venues like X-Ray Arcade.
