Deterioration is a highly prolific and long-running grindcore band based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Founded in 2003 by brothers Jim and Joe Kahmann, the duo has become a staple of the Midwest underground music scene, known for their relentless work ethic, DIY attitude, and frequent performances in Milwaukee at venues like X-Ray Arcade and Sabbatic. They operate their own record label and screen-printing business, Shattered Dreams Productions, through which they release their extensive catalog of full-lengths, EPs, and split albums. Their sound is characterized by intense blast beats, abrasive vocals, and old-school deathgrind influences.
