Milorganaut is a grindcore and powerviolence trio from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, formed in 2012. The group consists of Jay Linski (vocals/bass), Dave Bruss (guitars/vocals), and Stephen Bradford (drums/vocals). Their name is a playful reference to the city's locally produced fertilizer, Milorganite, reflecting their ties to Milwaukee's industrial heritage. The band members previously played together in the sludgy project Slob Donovan before transitioning to the faster, more aggressive sounds of grindcore. After releasing the record 'Kaszube Isle' in 2015, they underwent a lengthy hiatus, resurfacing in 2023 with the album 'Jones Island' released via Diseased Audio. Their music is known for its intense, brief tracks and themes often centered around Milwaukee's local geography and history.
