About

Heet Deth is a Chicago-based noise-rock duo consisting of guitarist/vocalist Laila Eskin and drummer/vocalist Julia Bard. Describing their sound as "music for the new bad future," the pair delivers a gritty, apocalyptically sludgy mix of heavy punk and experimental garage rock. Since forming in 2019, they have established themselves as a relentless touring act and a staple of the Midwest DIY scene, with deep ties and a dedicated following in Milwaukee. Their major releases include "Hooray!" (2021) and the acclaimed sophomore LP "Bad Reading" (2025), released via The Ghost Is Clear Records.
